A Few Videos

Em's growing so quick and her vocabulary has exploded. Diplodocus? Really?

Oh and we got a cat. Sir Rocky the King of the Ferals. Long story short he was considered unhomable, had been out of his colony too long to be returned, and because he's white woudn't make a good barn cat. I got an email and two weeks later he moved into my storage room at the store. Em and I spend hours reading him books and trying to get him comfortable around people and we've made great strides in the last 3 weeks. He's Em's cat. . .really ;)

That girls got style!

Em loves clothes. Em loves to dress up. I would love to take credit for all of her cute days and blame the bad ones on her, but usually its the other way around. This girl mixes patterns like it's no one's business and can pull it off. I've never seen anyone sport stripes with polka dots mixed with a little bit of flowers and not look like a clown. . . . well, no one except for Em.

Her favorite recipe includes throwing on a hat, adding a tutu, a couple necklaces and fairy wings to any attire and we've got an Emma ensemble . . . A perfect outfit!

Here are a few of Em's best fashion statements.

Dogs

My biggest fear was having a child that didn't like animals. Luckily I was blessed with Em, who absolutely adores every animal she's ever met. I'm sure being raised in a house full of pets and in pet supply store has helped but she certainly has a gift with them. My feral child has become quite an animal whisperer.

Em loves our dogs. Our dogs love Em. She helps feed them (she yells, "that's my job" if I try to feed them without her), she plays with them by giving them toys, and she's always up for a puppy snuggle. Every morning she crawls into my bed to have some quality time with Mazie. Last week she informed me, "Mamma, Truman is your favorite greyhound. That's okay, cause Mazie is my favorite." Um, okay.

Today we had the following conversation.

"Mamma, Truman is sweet. He's a greyhound."
"Mazie is a sweet. She is a greyhound."
"Tucker. Um. Tucker."
Pause
Silence
Pause
"Tucker is old. He is JUST a dog"
I couldn't help but fall out of my chair laughing.
I love that child!!
