Emma is definitely a character. Every day she does something that makes me laugh. .Here are a few Emma-antics from the past two weeks.
Emma is learning new words almost everyday. One of her favorites is "hat". Earlier this week a family came into the store and one of the children was wearing a yarmulke. Emma pointed at the boy and yelled, "HAT!" The boy scowled at her and said, "It's not a hat it's a yarmulke!" Emma pointed again and said, "HAT!" The boy looked at his mom and demanded, "We can't shop here, she keeps calling my yarmulke a hat!" and stomped out of the store. He crossed his arms and waited on the sidewalk for his mother to finish shopping.
Along with Emma's word explosion has come her comprehension of language. Sunday morning we were all laying in bed and one of the dogs passed gas. I asked, "Yuck, what's stinky?" Emma looked at me, said "Dai-Di," and smiled like a Cheshire cat. Yes, Emma, you are correct . . your diapers are stinky!
Yesterday morning while I was getting ready to take a shower Em crawled over to my pile of clean clothes. She fished around for a minute and pulled out my underwear. She picked them up, stretched them out over her head with both hands, and proclaimed, "Mamma Dai-Di!"
Em has decided that since her high chair has wheels she should use them. The other morning I was laying in bed and Brian yelled for me to come see. I get up, go into the kitchen, and see Em moving her highchair across the kitchen while sitting in it. I guess her butt scoot came in handy. . she used the same technique to get highchair jet-propulsion. I got a video on my cell phone, but haven't figured out how to get it off. Once I do, I'll post it for all to see.
The best Emma-antic is that she is a super lover. She blows kisses by smacking her lips and gives out hugs freely. Ask for a snuggle and you shall receive. I love my girl!
